Here's some good news for those of you who have been patiently waiting to see some of my work in printed form. In June, Swallow Press, an imprint of Ohio University Press, will be releasing "The World of a Wayward Comic Book Artist: the Private Sketchbooks of S. Plunkett". As the subtitle suggests, most of the art has been culled from my sketchbooks, twenty seven of them to be precise, kept from 1992 to 2010, but also included is a large selection from my finished work. There's over 400 drawings here and two color sections.
The wait is over! I have about twelve hardcover copies of the sketchbook in stock, ready to be mailed out, for those who would like to order a copy directly through me. The book will be signed and contain a specially designed bookplate (a scene depicting John Carter of Mars.) The cost, which includes packaging and mailing, is $70 in the USA. You can make arrangements by e-mailing me directly from this site.
If you'd like more information about the book, you can visit the publisher's site. "The World of a Wayward Comic Artist" is available there in both soft and hardcover.
